Just had head gasket done, including head pressure/crack test and skim.
Didnt need much of a skim according to the machine shop. Rebuilt using uprated MLS headgasket kit, new bolts, new timing belt, water pump, thermostat, coolant, oil etc. Engine fully flushed and cleaned. Reciepts for head work and parts included. This engine will go for many miles.
New locking wheel nuts and recently new tyres.
low profile 17" tyres on MG Rover 17" straights.
Few little niggles which i havent got around to sorting
- heater only blows on 3 & 4. (new part is £10 from ebay, 2 screws to fit.)
- drivers side window is wind up not electric. (£35 for electric one from MG rover breakers in gateshead.)
- few marks, stone chips etc. Worst part is some paint missing on bonnet and the sunroof surround is starting to flake. laquer peeling around os door key area. crack in front bumper(see pics)
- drivers seat bolster worn and torn. (interiors are cheap enough.)
Due to the above niggles, i have adjusted the price accordingly. This is a 2004 car, which is stylish, sporty, econmical, cheap to insure and tax.
Selling both our cars, to buy a smaller diesel car due to girlfriend loosing her job last week.
Just had new 063 battery fitted as car as been stood afew weeks and the old battery wasnt the best.
Half tank of petrol in it. £900 for quick cash sale only. reduced price due to us finding our perfect new small diesel car. if we miss buying the new car, this price will go back up. limited time price, quick sale this weekend!
